guy joseph torres is a current photography student at san diego city college where he explores the many different paths that photography has to offer. originally from los angeles, guy moved to san diego in 2021 for work but would seldomly discovered the passionate art and photography community there is throughout the city.
in 2017, guy started taking photos for a family-owned ice cream shop and since then has developed his own creative style focusing on captivating colors, simple composition, and capturing the "decisive moment". while working towards his degree, guy mostly operates as a freelance and volunteer photographer working with local musicians who need professional photos.
inspired by the movie "almost famous" and the work of jackie lee young, guy dreams of going on tour with a band and documenting everything there is to see. with so much more he wants to learn, guy is always looking for new artists to work with, mediums to undertake, and inspiration to discover.
